I’ve just had a dinner party using the Harvest Bisque, Beef Wellington, and twice baked red potato recipes. Girls, you would have thought I had just been to cooking school! Thanks for my new reputation. I can’t wait to try more from your beautifully written, illustrated and organized cookbook. I’m so proud of my cousins!

Dear Ladies and Staff, just wanted to send you a HUGE thank you. Your true Southern hospitality was above and beyond expections during our family luncheon and visit last Friday. You made my family(four generations were present) feel very special indeed. And my gluten free husband was overwhelmed with your attention!

Once again, thank you so much for making our family gathering a wonderful day!

Emilie, I was amazed at your incredible shop, thrilled with your food and in awe at your selection of antiques. It is one of the “jewels of the South” and shouldn’t be missed by anyone traveling through. For those of us close enough to drive, it is one spot I will be visiting over and over again!

Irish Acres Gallery of Antiques and “The Glitz” is much more than just a place to shop and eat, it’s a delightful and unique “experience”. If you’re planning a trip to Kentucky, it’s definitely worth adding to your travel agenda!

On April 4, my sisters, niece, and I planned a surprise 79th Birthday Celebration for our Motherr. We invited 5 of her 40+ year Glamorous Girlfriends to share this special lunch with her.
What an awesome time of fellowship and friendship we were blessed to enjoy at The Glitz!
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was great!
The Glam Girlz had an absolutely wonderful time from the beginning of our visit until the end!
Thank you for helping to make our Mother’s 79th Birthday one that she’ll always remember!

Perhaps a third time is charm, as my message doesn’t seem to want to go through.
Just wanted you and Jane to know how delighted Dianna is with her new accommodations. She seems to have taken on an added grace at her new elevation. We have spent the last 1/2 hour admiring each other and I wonder how I could have thought the room complete without her.
Thank you so much for your expert decor advice, help and friendship.
I would like to talk to you about a hand painted fan display when I’m there next week. A plate stand perhaps???

      Bonnie,
Jane and I loved helping you get Dianna high and lifted! Your home is absolutely beautiful and she fits right in!We look forward to our next visit! See you Wednesday!

As always, lunch was outstanding. Both sisters talked about it all the way back to Lexington. The short cakes are wonderful, don’t know if they will get shared.
And the Bob Cat is loving his new den home, under the bronze wall hanging. You need to come and visit “Barry” and Dianna, they’d love to see you two.
Do you have a picture of the pedestal/price?
Thank you do much for a great afternoon!

What is the costs of your lunch? Does the LL Glitz have handicap access?

    • #41 written by Emilie

Our full service three course luncheon is 22.95 plus tax. The Glitz is not handicapped accessible. The stone foundation of our old building has prevented an elevator. There are 3 steps to a landing and then 13 steps down. They are wide steps with rails on either side and we are happy to assist!

Me, my mom and my bestie make several trips a year to see you. We adore and soak up the wonderful scent and atmosphere of both The Glitz and Irish Acres. Our goal is to sample the menu monthly…slowly but surely getting there!! It’s so relaxing and you get to take a step back in time by visiting each room. We love it!!!!
